Fair, Good, Excellent: what our grades really mean

Cosmetic grades describe how a device looks, never how it works. Every device sold on Reneweu passes the same functional inspection regardless of grade, and carries the same one-year warranty.
The functional floor is identical
Screen, touch layer, cameras, speakers, microphones, ports, wireless radios, buttons and battery capacity are all tested against the same thresholds. A device that fails any of them is repaired or rejected — it is never downgraded to Fair.
What separates the three grades
Excellent means practically no visible marks at arm's length. Good means light micro-scratches on the frame with a mark-free screen. Fair means visible scratches or small dents on the housing.
Because the functional standard is fixed, a Fair device with a case on it is the best value purchase in the catalogue, typically 20–30% below Excellent for the same model.
